FORMULATION GUIDE

Note that Hyaluronic acid powder is not easily soluble in water, it can easily form lumps of thick gel. Use these methods to dissolve into a clear gel without clumps.  The product requires some time to fully dissolve.

Sprinkle and Stirring – to dissolve it with water, hyaluronic can be sprinkled little by little into water and stirring vigorously, preferably with a mixer.

Leave it to Hydrate – another method of dissolving hyaluronic acid is to add it to some water, and then leave it alone for some hours, to enable it to hydrate water.  Check back from time to time. After a while it should swell and become and transparent.  Once you see that all the powder have dehydrated and dissolved, you can stir it.

To make a 1% stock solution, dissolve 1% sodium hyaluronate in 99% water. Add a preservative if you want to give it a shelf life.

Hyaluronic acid is a water soluble ingredient, so always use it in the water phase of formulations, or combined with water or other water soluble ingredients.

Usage Rate: 0.1 - 2% Solubility: Soluble in water, requires some time to fully dissolve.
